...So now what?

Hello to the very few people that actually read this blog.

I did it. 365 movie ideas for a full year. Sure, I missed a few days here and there, but I actually made a goal and accomplished it.
This daily practice has helped me in so many ways. It taught me to think on the spot, it made me feel better knowing that I will write crap every now and then, I helped me learn to be more consistent with getting work done, and it helped me see what patterns, issues, and values keep showing up in my writing. I've even made a short film out of one of the ideas. All in all, I can say that the practice helped me be a better writer.
After doing this for a full year, it makes me feel weird knowing that it's over. I'm thinking of starting a new practice. Ideas I have include:
-A 2 page script a day
-A character a day
-A synopsis a day
-A 5-10 minute short every month
-Work on one feature script/film every single day until it's finished

Some of these ideas seem good, although some might be unrealistic or too much to handle. I'd like to try them, though. Something to keep the flow of doing something with writing/filmmaking on a daily basis.

On the fourth anniversary of her mysterious grandmother's death, a college bound girl finds a copy of an old movie that her grandmother starred in during the 60's with a love letter (along with a return address) attached from the director. The girl goes on a journey to meet this director and find some answers she's looking for in regards to her grandmother.

A stripper resuscitates in a morgue after getting shot by her ex-boyfriend, but she is now mute. She goes on a journey through her rural/suburban hometown while she's trapped in her own thoughts and ideas.

An elementary schoolteacher that moonlights as a stripper runs into a student's parent, an upper middle class homemaker whose husband travels all the time for work. They form a strange relationship from the situation all while trying to keep it a secret from her student.

A pothead surfer from Hawaii moves to New York City to reinvent himself as a journalist for the New York Times when his fiancee dies in a surfing accident as her ghost still haunts him.

A narcissist loses her compact mirror and spends the day actually taking a look at what's around her.

A wannabe gang member's bag is mixed up with a little kid's bag when they're on the subway (the bag has an unregistered gun in it), and she goes around the city hunting for the bag without looking suspicious/getting caught by any members of the rival gang.

A college dropout that's been away from her parents for 5 years learns that her mother's died, and goes back home to find that everyone still thinks that she's been a successful business woman since "graduating".

A school nerd witnesses his bully get shot, and everyone thinks that he's the one that did it. After nearly getting killed in a beating by one of the bully's friends, he decides to try and find the killer himself.

A college graduate is diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer, and a doctor that moonlights as a hitman promises to give him treatment in order that he kills people for him.

The last living woman on earth is pregnant. All of women in the world have been exterminated by a fundamentalist group with all men in it, and she has to find a way to give birth to her daughter without being caught and murdered.

A cop gets an undercover girl pregnant, and the whole 9 months consists of him taking care of the girl while trying to cover his tracks.

An Ivy League dropout comes back to his hometown in suburban Texas after being institutionalized and decides to become a robber when he loses his ambition.

A spoiled high school graduate that's taking a year off gets her laptop broken, and has to work for the money to get it repaired. Working hard while not having a computer makes her realize how sheltered her neighborhood is, and decides to apply to an out-of-state college.

An english teacher with chronic migraines gets one that makes it unbearable for him to go to school, so he decides to get scanned at the doctor to see what is bothering him. It turns out that there is a cocoon of lethal worms that a gang planted in his brain, and he has to stop the worms from coming out before they do so in 7 days.

A man from New York City goes back to his hometown in suburban Delaware when his mother does, but doesn't feel any nostalgia/remorse over his mother's death, so his childhood friend takes him on a scavenger hunt for an item before he goes back to the city.
